Im aiming to be at the Tham,es barier for sunrise as it may be a clear morning on Sat.

Wheres the best place to photograph it from and how do you get there. (annoying thing is I can see it from my office window!!)

I have seen some great pics of the barrier and they all seem to be taken from the south side of the river. Is there a walkway/footpath or anything?

There is a path on the southside of the river, I went recently but been honest i felt out of place on my own, felt very rough and I was constantly wondering if the van was going to be there when I go back!

A word of warning about this place, it has 24 hour security and depending what mood there in depends on weather they will let you erect a tripod. I got thrown off once as he said I was a professional as I was using a tripod and I needed to get permission before hand on another occasion no problem do what you want.... I was on the South Side

Yeah be careful when I was uni (I did a media course) and one of the groups did filming outside the london aquarium and apprantley they got told of by security for filming along that bank (by the london eye) as apparently it was a health and safety issue. I beleive the group sweet talked to being allowed 10minutes (they managed to proof that they were stuents) but the point is they are very strict along the Thames for some reason .

Good luck
