I like texture in photos and paintings so I'm trying to capture some for myself

#1, a closer crop but nice textures in the tree. #5 is nice, but again, I'd like to see it closer.

Thanks for the feedback andy, I have cropped and was afraid of losing the subject but I see what you mean.

I'm gonna go on a walk about tomorrow and try some more and maybe add a closer crop

Have recently done a project with a very similar theme. Really like them all but perhaps number 2 could have been taken from the right hand side to have the pebbles in the background to make it stand out more, but still like it as it is, cracking detail in all of them.
