I have a Nikon D7100 and thought that the Nikon NX Tethering program would be what to use but it doesn't support the D7100. Could I ask if anyone has a recommendation for tethering software that I could use with the D7100?

Many thanks

Windows or Mac and I presume free?

I use captureone and that works very well, but is too expensive if this is just a one off. You could download the 30 day trial of CP1 to have a play.

LR also works but is subscription.

You could try and find the older version of nx to see that would work for the d7100.

For sure there will an older version of NX Tether will support your D7100 ... if you can find a copy. Filehorse has v.1.0.3 and 2.0.0 - https://www.filehorse.com/download-nikon-nx-tether/old-versions/

I used to have a version that supported my D300/D700/D750 bodies but I guess it got deleted in a clearout last year

Looking at the current version of NX Tether I am rather surprised to see that it only supports two DSLR's - D6 and D780. Luckily for me I have a D780 :)

Bristolian, thank you for this. Went to the link but the downloads were for Windows only as far as I could see and I have a Mac.
