:bonk: i need a bit of help iam trying to theher my canon 1d mk2 to my laptop via firewire to lightroom 3 it will not pick up the camera. as i got no softwear with it iam stuck please help if pos thanks
 
Is the laptop recognising the 1DII?
 
You mean a yellow triangle?
 
You'll need to find drivers/software for your camera before proceeding any further. Could be that the 1DII is too old for LR3
 
If you're running on Windows 7 it'll definitely be a driver issue. Not sure if you can get a Win7 driver for the 1DII...if not try the WinXP driver.

I've had similar issues with my 350D on Win7. Something else you can try is changing the Communication setting on the camera between Print/PTP and PC Connection. For tethered I have to have it on PC Connection, but for loading images into LR it only works in Print/PTP mode.
