Yes
I took it out to the RSPB reserve today and its superb.

its light, loads the photos very quick,i used the £25 camera usb cable to iPad connector.

it means you only need a usb cable of the type your camera uses.
Nikon D3s uses a standard lead, next time i am taking a very short one i have instead of the long one i had today.

i prefer it to tethering for all sorts of use shoots away from home.

it fits in the camera bag very easy.

The USB thingy is on my to buy list.

When you get back home does the ipad upload all the new photos to your photostream and any other devices sharing an iTunes like it does if you take a photo with it?

If you set it up to do that,I haven't.
i keep the photos in the camera then download again when home

Ah. I'll have to test that!

Can it used to tether? always connected, take a shot and it appears?

Ajai, i believe that is possible with EyeFi cards and the EyeFi app, although i haven't tried it first hand. There are other ways but it requires a PC etc so not really ideal for shooting out on location!
