Just bought a Sigma 10-20 after reading lots of reviews. I got mine from Amazon rather then a HK supplier due to the many comments regarding softness of this lens.

So now I have mine, any good test shots to highlight whether I have a good one or not?

Many thanks,
Andy

Do a LOLdog or cat, thats the first thing I did, hardly scientific but it puts you in a good frame of mind:D

Thanks, time to chase the dog round the house

No chasing required, even a completely mental poodle sits still for a turkey twizzler.
I think everyone should christen their new superwide front element with a good healthy dollop of dog snot....:bonk:

I see your enjoying the lens John  Your poodle looks a pit puzzled :)

a fairly close shot of a well lit brick wall will give you an idea of the distortion and sharpness at different zoom levels.

I'm planning on purchasing one of these from CameraWorld next week and they have informed me that they will take me out to test the lens when I buy....so recommendations are a brick wall? how about a close newspaper shot? not that it would fill the frame mind....

can't wait too get one...:-)

I just got mine this week and went out and had a play today, didn't take too many pictures but like what I have seen so far, images seem pretty sharp and no obvious softness yet. Did take a few pics of the kids and have to say the UWA does create some interesting images
