Test Driving Cars

Absolutely!

But depending on age, you may not be able to test drive things like a Ferrari!

If its a proper dealer then they will have insurance. But depending on what you are looking at driving they may well not fancy letting you loose.

They do get a lot of test pilots for the flash motors.

Most dealers have their own insurance, irrespective!

At the age of 20, you are young by my age .... but a perfect potential buyer to car dealers.

The only car I was refused a testdrive for, when I was 18, was a Ferrari. Needless to say, as much as I wanted to buy a Mondial, I didn't.

Give them a call, be serious, look & behave mature & smart and you should be ok!

Oh, keep in mind that the sale's rep. will be coming with you.

dont some dealerships (for the expensive stuff) want to see proof that you can actually afford to buy before letting you loose.

if its just for something like a fiesta or a honda civic shouldnt be a problem

Never been asked to provide proof of ability to buy. I would tell them off, if they were to ask me.

Mind, H. R. Owen were rude to my girlfriend .. and since I wasn't permitted to drive, I told them off and walked away. Never to buy from them, ever.

I've done this quite a bit, a few dealers wouldn't let me take the car until I was 25. Must be an insurance stipulation over here. I would chance your arm and try to get it for a weekend test drive. I did this with the first version of the Clio 172 cup. Absolutely loved the car, but I never had any intention to buy one.

I don't recall us having a lower age limit on test drives, but then we were a Skoda dealer, so most our customers were over 55 anyway:lol:

I've got an Octavia VRS and I am well under 55!:lol:

I'm talking about back in the day of these....

Those old skodas were better than their reputation. I had a rapid 136 at one point - great fun, excellent handling and capable of surprising a few people.

I'd avoid a Ka - I see lots of very very rusty ones.

Mull. What do you think of this

The new Ford Ka is based on the Fiat 500 so should be a good little car.

That Kia looks good and is very Fiesta like, will be interesting to see if they put it in production and how much they price it at.
