Hi
I had to test our club lights there are not new and I did not know what to expect.
They was three BoLite’s one had barn doors and also had some honeycomb to fit and two shoot through brolly
I had the honeycomb high to camera right behind sitter, full power light to camera right and half power camera left but back.
I know its not the best of light but I think it has work ok what you think?

Certainly nice even lighting without being totally flat, my only crit is the whole thing looks a degree or two warm - thought at first it was his skin tone, but I can see a very slight pink cast on the grey jacket too. This is with the caveat that I am not viewing on a calibrated screen atm, but hopefully someone else will be able to say if this is the case or not.

God knows, the numbers confuse me. A white card definately an option I think, just check it before shooting. It might be that they change as you adjust the power on them too, I seem to recall reading somewhere that some units can do that. At least the advanatge of raw is any difference can be adjusted afterwards, so you always have that fall back if needed.

Second one looks nice. :)

Nice and even lighting, lack of distinct shadows and appropriate contrast. Agree with Yv though, definitely too warm in the first shot and maybe still a little bit of tint in the second - check where the light's hitting the head from above/ behind (in about the 11 o'clock position) and around the grey jacket collar. Saw your note re RAW conversion, yet there's so little in it a quick fix might be to drop the saturation rather than adjust the temp.

I just use auto for wb and it almost allways nails it, tweak in LR if not perfect.

Chaz whats the score with the bg noise, exif says its your 50d at iso 100 but theres buckets of the stuff?

 I saw that but thought it was actually the fabric of the backdrop, not actual noise. What was the BG chaz?

Anyway, now viewing on a calibrated monitor, I still think you have got it much better in the edit chaz, maybe a very slight cast but very much within acceptable boundaries imo.
