Tesla, a problem for other motorists?

A bloke at work has a Model X which appears to be causing problems for other people in the car park. A mate was reversing his car into the space in front of the Tesla, as he got within 2 feet his radio lost it' signal, he moved forward again and the radio came back on. He reversed again and lost the signal again.
A woman at work parked her car next to the Tesla and was unable to use her remote to lock her car, she had to use the key. She hasn't had any problems using the remote to lock her car at any other time.
So, is it something wrong with just this blokes Tesla or do all Tesla's disrupt radio signals if you get too close?

Or the third possibility is that these anecdotes may not be 100% reliable - let's face it, they're not exactly controlled experiments - or they may be inferring causality where there is just coincidence.

Car remote keys operate at around 300-400 MHz, which is miles away from the commercial radio spectrum. It would be a near trick to disrupt both. It would be an even more amazing trick for the disruption to be confined to a radius of 2 feet - you know, inverse square law and all that.

At least we can rule out the possibility of these people having a motivation to bash Tesla.... oh, wait.

I don't know if you are old enough to have experienced this, but years ago people's radio and tv signals were disrupted by cars ignition systems. Suppressors had to be fitted to cars to overcome it and I am fairly sure it became law after a certain date, much like fitment of seatbelts etc.
If the car at work is a one off, then he needs to get it sorted, if it is all Tesla cars then Tesla may well have more trouble on their hands.
Musk won't care though, he'll just light up another spiff and watch Tesla shares take another tumble. ;)

that was to do with the points causing a spark which would interfere with more or less all RF signals
sometimes the suppressor across the points which was fitted as standard on most cars would'nt be up to the job or out of tolerance and more had to be fitted to stop the interference
in the age of electronic ignitions it's more or less a thing of the past , as to why the tesla would be causing interference is anybodies guess there might be high frequency oscillators not shielded properly causing problems but it could be anything or it could be sheer coincidence
 
If I park my TVR under the power lines at Quarry Corner at Castle Coombe it interferes with the imobiliser. Anywhere else is no problem...
