Watching the news coverage at the moment. What the ******, seriously. 80+ killed in attacks at 7 or more locations around Mumbai (Bombay). 250 + injured. The Taj hotel, an iconic building in India, is on fire and people are being evactuated and apparently there are still gunmen loose in the area. Special forces and army have stormed some of the locations where the gunmen are said to have taken hostages.

The BBC is reporting four terrorists killed and nine arrested by Indian police. It seems to have kicked off over a fairly large area across the city.

Tis a shame terrorism will always be with us throughout the world :(

And there was me thinking of going there sometime Jan/Feb. I might still do.

Shouldn't stop you going to India, it's not Iraq you know. Unless of course you were staying in that hotel.

It wouldn't stop me unless it escalated seriously. The problem would be airlines withdrawing flights, as in the current Bangkok incident where BA has suspended flights there.

That's true. Seems like an ongoing incident at the moment.

C4 is reporting 7 of the terrorists are British born

I can't imagine an Indian jail is very nice, lets just hope they have to stay out there when they get caught

I came back from India 2 weeks ago, where I visited a government run hospital, the best medicare is private. Believe me when I say it was hell. You don't want to know what a government run jail looks like or how it feels to live there.
