I bought a tenba messenger 12 (i think) bag at the photography show earlier this year and having now used it a few times have decided i don't like the shoulder strap. It is ok when the bag doesn't have much kit in it but for longer periods with more gear it gets really quite uncomfortable. I think part of the problem is that the padded bit has a fairly stiff piece of padding inside which doesn't really mould to the shape of my shoulder/collar bone area and creates a pressure point, but removing it doesn't fix the problem altogether either (helps a little but it feels like some padding would help a lot). Does anyone have a recommendation for a third party strap if such a thing exists for a largeish messenger type bag?

Cheers

Nice one cheers Hoppy, any idea if shops generally stock them or would it be a case of order and return if unhappy with the purchase? The sp50 in black could well be just the job i suspect but i would want to try it first simply because for what it is 30 quid is a bit dear

Billingham make v nice clip-on leather shoulder pads for about £30. Pricey but high quality and durable. I have a few and move them from bag to bag.Two types - the original super-grippy, and less grippy but v comfy padded version https://billingham.co.uk/collections/accessories/products/shoulder-pads?variant=10364159492139

Just a quick update to say i have now bought the billingham strap, needed the sp50 in the end. It is definitely wider than the original pad and the foam doesn't feel as dense/stiff so hopefully it will do the trick once i get out and actually use it. Cheers for the help Hoppy
