Thinking of getting a Dell Inspiron 15R but would like suggestions.Budget around £500.Need fast processor, at least 4GB Ram and 500 to 750 hard drive.
 
I've just changes from Lenovo (too bland). Got the dell xps 15r. I just got the inspiron 15 for my sis in law and it was great value. Only had the i3, make sure you get an i5 if you want a nice fast machine
 
But not for £500 Dale ;)
 
Ahh... misread that as XPS for under £500 (completely skipped the third sentence in your reply!). Sorry.. I blame the wine I'd had ;) :D

Do you need the graphics separate? If only for Photoshop/Windows, the one without any external graphics will be fine (the onboard on the i5 is fine for Photoshop/lightroom.

Is the 750G drive a 7200rpm version? If so, it should be a little quicker than a 500G drive version.
 
5400 rpm...will that be ok? Not very pc wise so have to trust I'm getting a good laptop.They told me this graphics was better than the integrated.

5400rpm will be fine. A 7200rpm drive is faster but I personally wouldn't pay £100+ extra for it.

Yes, it will be better graphics than integrated, but if you never use it (i.e. don't game).... The integrated graphics in an i5 is plenty for general windows use and photoshop.
