Hi There

Just a quick question. I have a Canon 70-200mm F2.8 (non-IS)
And I'm looking for a teleconvertor, i've not got much money hence this thread.

I realise I can use the Kenko Convertor, anyone have and pro's and cons for this?

Also will the Sigma TC work with Canon lenses? or only Sigma lenses? (as they are the same fitment :s)

Thanks
Jamie

i know on the nikon 70-200mm f2.8's they use the 1.4x all the time but i dont know about the canon's

Well I'm thinking about either the 1.4x or the 2x
Not too fussed at the moment, but I'm looking to see if they will work universally.

how much you thinking of spending|??

Well nothin at the moment.
But I've seen the Kenko convertors are around £100
Sigma's = £100-200
Canon = £200-300

But I dont wanna say get a Kenko/Sigma convertor then it not work with my lens :(

Cheers
Jamie

have you triedm Kerso for latest prices???

No, never thought about that. But with prices rising a lot recently I think I will ask closer to the time I wish to buy.

Dont know if Kenko/Sigma work with my lens do u :)

The Kenko and Sigma should work fine. The Canon obviously definitely will.

For image quality it's usually accepted that the 1.4X gives better results than the 2X but as always it depends on your own actual set up.

i would say stick to a 1.4x because the 2x even on a prime loose a lot, and i can vouch for the kenko 1.4x pro 300 is as good as the nikon version

Thanks everyone :)
Think I shall be purchasing a Kenko 1.4x Convertor then at some point, just wanted to make sure that it would work before looking into it too much :)

Thanks
Jamie

Yup I knew about the aperture thanks :D
Just been looking at the Kenko range. Think I may save up and get myself a Canon one. I think it's just piece of mind i'm not sure :lol:

Thanks
Jamie
