teleconverter for NIKON AF-S 18-200mm VR

Hello,

I'm looking to buy a teleconverter. I have 18-200mm Nikon Af-S VR lenses with a D-200 Nikon Camera. I was hoping someone could recommend a compatible teleconverter for my lens specs.

I think the only one that fits is the Kenko 1.4x

The problems you will have is:

- very slow (if any) AF
- very small max aperture
- possible loss of metering?

I'd buy a 70-300 VR if you need more reach. Sorry the news is not better!

THANKS JOE AM LOOKING AT 80-400MM OR 400MM MORE OR LESS GIVEN UP ON A CONVERTER HAVE YOU DONE ANY DIGISCOPING? LET ME HAVE SOME IDEA ABOUT IT WANT TO LEARN AND MAYBE BUY A KIT.

My weapon of choice is a Sigma 120-300 2.8 with 1.4x tc.

80-400 will not accept any TC.
