Debbie Wiseman taken from "the flood" soundtrack. The last part with the loud tense build up, I slapped together myself using stock audio footage

Just an update on this. I'm now 9 months into making this film and I have a hopefull release date for it. With that in mind I have just created a Full release trailer for the film, that shows off how epic the space battles are going to be.

Enjoy

That's pretty damn clever.

looks like a lot of work and skill. well done.

Speaking objectively I'd say the action seens look really exciting, but the interactions with the characters at the start look very wooden, I'd imagine thats very difficult to change though - it's always been hard for cgi characters to show real human emotion.

Yeah you have no idea how hard it is to get full facial expressions along with lip synching. Most of the hollywood cgi films like beowulf and avatar used complicated motion tracking cameras to track human facials movements along with a team of animators. I just have myself and a bog standard pc with a load of dials that change a characters expressions.

Wow. Exceedingly impressed and in awe. That is really something to be proud of.

 Superb Dave.
You must have the patience of a saint.

Looking forward to the release.

Yes it has been a labor of love. Some scenes only lasting 3 seconds can take 5 hours to set up a 3d scene then a further 24 hours to render depending on how much fx are used. If only I had a line of ILM computers to take up the slack.

that is brill Dave.. can't wait to see the final outcome.

you've come a long way since mohammed and his scratchy table

Oh yes I really enjoyed making that. I have quite a few animations and videos on my channel. The one I'm most proud of is Kitty the robot cat. I made that for my son.

I'm impressed! ..... Excellent work .....

What have you done this with? I took a Maya module in the final year of my degree in 2002 and the Uni only had 2 PCs capable of rendering the most basic 3D animations overnight! Waste of time it was :bonk:

I use 3D Studio max For the majority of the 3D work & Adobe After effects to finish of any post production. The characters are animated in poser then imported into 3ds max.

Most of the scenes are rendered in seperate layers instead of one big lump, it takes longer, but its easier to edit in after effects if you have a collection of png sequences
