I've been lucky enough to get a couple of football photos published in nationals and will obviously want to keep tear sheets as well as having them framed ;)

My very basic question is how should I create tear sheets, should they be actual original copies of the newspaper or do people just keep scanned copies of the original? Is there anything else I should be keeping?

Sorry for such a basic question but I'm pretty new to all this!

Ditto - a copy of the newspaper, with the article cut out and put in a file, and a scan.

Little known fact... tearsheets with dataco covered matches on are not allowed to be published.. as in online ..websites, facebook ..anything...

I've read this on a few threads - seems a little over the top but I guess if those are the rules then that's that!

Maybe a thick black line through any player's eyes if they're covered by Dataco license would suffice ;)

Interesting (ish) side note:

If you posted the whole page then it would count as incidental inclusion and legally be allowed (provided that the paper is OK with the reproduction).
It wouldn't stop DataCo removing your licence though!
