Well, the chocolate santas are already starting to infest the place, so I'll keep an eye out to see if they do that for christmas...then they slashed the price to something like £399 with a bit 60% off price tag
It's a demo model, so not for sale and therefore a ridiculous price placed on it.
This was probably just a mistake but many years ago I used to work for PC World and I remember a cheap Celeron Laptop came in priced at £999.
It was left like that for 28 days with not a single sale (no surprised there) then they slashed the price to something like £399 with a bit 60% off price tag. They sold like hot cakes.
The laptop was probably only worth £299
The power of advertising - stick a sale sign in front of anything even at it's normal price and people will buy it!
My Ex was a sucker for BOGOF offers.Including my wife! I've tried explaining to her that "But it *was* £700, and it's now only £70!!!!" means absolutely nothing if it's not even worth £70!

Even if we didn't use or like the product![]()
My mother's like that. She'll see say a blender that was £100 now on sale for £30 and think it's a bargain over a blender that's priced at £35. I've had to explain several times to compare with the current price. The power of advertising - stick a sale sign in front of anything even at it's normal price and people will buy it!
I tend to go for BOGOF offers but only if they're things I'd ordinarily use. I usually do this with toiletries eg shower gel - buy it when it's effectively priced at £1 via BOGOF rather than £2 at non-sale time.My Ex was a sucker for BOGOF offers.

Recently I bought my dog some dried food, complete but not so cheap. Put some in the bowl and one sniff and looked at me, don't like it.Years ago, Tesco had my dog's brand of food reduced to £7 a bag (9kg), which is why I went over there as there's no decent Tesco here in town.
When I got there they were THREE bags for £6!
Would have been rude not too.![]()
OK, if we can explain the rationale behind the price in the opening post, can anyone explain this one?

That's the bit I don't understand. I only wanted one pack.1 pack is normally priced at £6.62.... But they are selling two packs for £6.00
Sell the other one or keep it for when you need more. That's the bit I don't understand. I only wanted one pack.
