Te$co Bargain

This was probably just a mistake but many years ago I used to work for PC World and I remember a cheap Celeron Laptop came in priced at £999.
It was left like that for 28 days with not a single sale (no surprised there) then they slashed the price to something like £399 with a bit 60% off price tag. They sold like hot cakes.
The laptop was probably only worth £299

Perfect stocking filler! I'll take two!

Well, the chocolate santas are already starting to infest the place, so I'll keep an eye out to see if they do that for christmas...

It's a demo model, so not for sale and therefore a ridiculous price placed on it. I've seen that in a few places where things are out of stock. Seems stupid to me

It's apple, somebody will be flying in from a far away country for the only demo model for sale anywhere in the world

The power of advertising - stick a sale sign in front of anything even at it's normal price and people will buy it!

Including my wife! I've tried explaining to her that "But it *was* £700, and it's now only £70!!!!" means absolutely nothing if it's not even worth £70!

My Ex was a sucker for BOGOF offers.
Even if we didn't use or like the product

FOFF?

My mother's like that. She'll see say a blender that was £100 now on sale for £30 and think it's a bargain over a blender that's priced at £35. I've had to explain several times to compare with the current price.

I tend to go for BOGOF offers but only if they're things I'd ordinarily use. I usually do this with toiletries eg shower gel - buy it when it's effectively priced at £1 via BOGOF rather than £2 at non-sale time.

OK, if we can explain the rationale behind the price in the opening post, can anyone explain this one?

Years ago, Tesco had my dog's brand of food reduced to £7 a bag (9kg), which is why I went over there as there's no decent Tesco here in town.
When I got there they were THREE bags for £6!
Would have been rude not too. :D

Recently I bought my dog some dried food, complete but not so cheap. Put some in the bowl and one sniff and looked at me, don't like it. :(a creature of habit.

Simple. 1 pack is normally priced at £6.62. There are 14 items in a pack which makes them 47,3p per item. But they are selling two packs for £6.00

Reminds me of this fantastic discount on a pack of 4 lime / lemons Asda had

That's one expensive pack originally - what a bargain. [emoji3]

Silly thing was, to the left, they were 25p each singularly [emoji38]

It's never a good idea to change a dog's food without first gradually phasing it in.

We have Terry's Chocolate oranges at £3.73 each (yes, THAT expensive!) Every Christmas they will be on offer at 2 for £3. Occasionally you'll also get the stupid offer where something is 99p each and they'll bring out a 4 for £4 offer on it.

The funniest I've seen is where the multi-buy works out more expensive per item than purchasing a single item eg buy 2 for £3 (or they're £1 each).
