tax evasion..oh dear

So a Company that SamCam happens to work for part time is ultimately owned by a Company that's registered in a tax haven, but which does pay tax in this country...

This seems like a non-story to me, but even if it is a real story, how does this reflect badly on SamCam or her significant other?

I don't suppose that it could be dirt-digging by another political party could it?

Tax evasion and tax avoidance are two very different things, one illegal, one legal. I practice tax avoidance wherever I can. If I'm not legally to bound to pay a tax, I don't. I do pay each and every penny that I'm obliged to though. Not a penny more, not a penny less.

Morals my arse...

:D

I think that if there wasn't an election round the corner this would have barely been reported.

Evasion = naughty
Avoidance = Why not? If legal. Would you rather pay 20% on lots and 40% on some... or pay approx 6%.

Now if only there was a dislike button I wouldn't have to write this: as other have highlighted the op should learn about the distinction between evasion and avoidance.
