Tattoo Fixer Jay Hutton slammed after request for free wedding pictures

The sad thing is some schmuck will do this, probably inexperienced and with little to gain.
I just hope it doesn’t go wrong. Because it’ll be the end of their career if something goes ‘erong’
 
If this story gos viral then anyone taking on the job is probably going to do themselves more harm than good in the industry....even if they got paid....everyones going to be looking at the pics to see the quality he got and no matter how good they are.. you know that everyones going to find fault.....barge pole job IMHO
 
I’m a member of a Facebook group called a Stop Working for Free, which is full of these stories unfortunately, this particular one seems to be getting some traction though; probably owing to the fact that he was of the opinion “you get what you pay for” when discussing tattoos on the show :lol:
 
To be fair...lets not get the rope out and choose a tree just yet... this is his representative sorting out his weeddding (which on it's own sounds odd) Jay Hutton may not even be aware of what they have done.. He might be furious with them.. OR he may have istructed them.....because it's not straight from him then we can't be sure he is at fault..
 
Not being a worshipper of celebrity nonetities I have to ask who on earth is this guy?
A tattoo artist. Big deal. Is this his 15 minutes of fame?
He's been on the telly. Wow! I am impressed. Honestly, I am.
Surely there are more important things to worry about than some z lister trying to blag free photos?
Will the deal include photographing the divorce as well?

possibly, but given that he already has a reputation for ripping off other tattooists work in his day job he does have some previous in the being a tosser stakes so i am happy enough to at least draw up a shortlist of trees and pencil in an execution date even if we have to amend the plans further down the line

It very important that anyone reading this thread and thinking 'maybe this is good, I'm new, and it sounds like plenty of exposure' - well you are kidding yourselves.

As a professional photographer, I've done work in the past that has been paid and credited, and I have received absolutely nothing back from those credits, no work and not even any real enquiries.
However I get tons of work through word of mouth.

A year or so ago, purely as an experiment I shot for a music artist with 1.2m followers on facebook, and loads of other social media presence. I made it part of the deal that I was heavily credited everywhere with these photos. You know what? nothing. I didn't even see a spike of traffic to my website.
 
Or perhaps there is a photographer out there with really bad tattoos who can be paid in kind?

It is this fact that makes me wonder whether he is in fact behind this request, or someone who is acting on his behalf? If he is, he is playing a very high risk game in terms of his own PR if it backfires, bearing in mind what he actually does himself.
