Hi

Well.... I have been tasked with a project.

My department at work want to produce a calendar for 2009 and have me to organise and take the shots. All the profit raised will go towards our company nominated charity of the year.

Not sure if you are all familiar with the film Calendar Girls with Julie Walters, Helen Mirran etc...

Basically, a group of ladies and men have their portraits taken wearing nothing but their birthday suit, modesty is protected only by a strategically positioned item suitable for the month... i.e November could be pumpkins, April could be spring flowers etc..

So... I am wondering has anyone else done a similar project and has anyone got any cool ideas for the months?

Thanks in advance,

Glitter, what sort of company do you work for - that would be a great help for ideas.

I work for a company that sells domestic insurance policies...

Last time the company I worked for did it, they used office stuff mainly to preserve modesty... i.e. a woman stood in front of the photocopier with 2 bits of paper over chest.

There was also one with a woman starkers shot through a champagne glass, so she was blurred. (She informed me afterwards that she'd consumed 2 bottles of said champage before getting her kit off )

Turned out really well and the company made about 10k for charity.

Good luck

I work in insurance too - not much that can cover things there

A big long chunky knitted scarf for one of the winter months, Tennis gear to tie in with Wimbledon, a big wrapped parcel for December.....

Good luck - sounds like a fun project.

Insurance gives you loads of ideas, think of everything that insurance covers!!!

Think accidents!....Repair work being done after an accident but spin a sense of humour on it. Funny accidents - like non-believeable ones!

January could be someone slipping down their garden path but maybe do something funny like instead of a simple slip they have slid about 20 metres and still going (into the camera) with big expression?

Just my thoughts if it helps.

Home insurance-type claimant stood nekkid in the bath with strategically-placed bits of plasterboard from collapsed ceiling?

Chap stood next to car with tools hidden by wing mirror?

November, Pumpkins? I hope they're for a buxom lady, otherwise

I did this 2 years ago with the tea ladies of the cricket club that my sons play for.

I took all cricket related shots... with a double entrendre caption underneath.

All done in secret.. without husbands knowing... took a lot of work on my part to get it all done... the only man who knew was the printer, another club member, who did all the printing free.

We took them all along to the dinner and dance when the stunned husbands and boyfriends had their first look!!!

We took £1,500 that night.... and they were only £5 each.

Good luck...if you only had half as much fun as us in the making... you will thoroughly enjoy yourselves! :D

sounds like a plan for the 2009 TP calendar - and we use photo kit to cover - bits

No problems.
