I purchased a laptop as a present for my mother a few years ago from Lidl. The laptop has been great apart from one problem which recently cropped up. The laptop has a fairly large 17 screen and unfortunately the mounts attaching to the bottom of the screen broke away. The computer still worked however the left hand side hinge had broken away from the rest of the screen and was fixed in one position.
I honestly thought that was the end of the laptop and was looking around to buy my mother a new one, but i decided to email Targa and see what they said. I used their web form Sunday evening and decided to wait. Monday morning 9am Targa phoned my mobile and wanted to know a bit more about what had happened. After explaining to the guy on the phone, he said they would send a courier out and repair it. At this point i was over the moon as this was going to save me a few £££ so the laptop was picked up last Wednesday and taken back to Germany. Unfortunately the courier service left a tracking number which didnt work, so we were on edge for a while. This morning however the laptop was returned safe and sound by DHL.
Targa had replaced the hinge and bezel around the screen, updated the bios and provided a new screen protector. Fantastic service when you consider it was picked up on Monday shipped to Germany, probably arrived there Thursday they fixed it, and it was shipped back on the Tuesday.
I would seriously advise anyone to buy with confidence.
