weekly Tango 32's 2014 52 challenge Week 39 -44 added

I'm liking link although I'd like to see a bit more of the knot on the right.

Good focus, lighting and composition

Good clear image Craig, looks well lit, like the bg colour (y) not a lover of the shadow though :)

nice idea, maybe a more diagonal composition would help a little, looks like the shadow police have been visiting you too

Hi there .... a good original choice for the theme, and I like the use of use of the two different knots. The rope and the metal link are lovely and crisp and clear. I like shadows ! but would prefer to see the whole shadow and for it to be a part of the picture, not for it to be cropped

Nice colours and patterns on the rope. I'm another one who quite likes shadows - I think they give a more 3D effect to an image - and I wouldn't have minded it being even more defined!

Hi again Craig :)

Linked - A cracking image, very well lit, lovely and sharp even viewed large, Crit - only minor, I wasn't liking the shadow at first, but it has grown on me, would be nicer and work even better for me if it were un-clipped, all in all the bright colours of the rope and the red on the clip, well separated from the background help make a very good pic

Thanks for Looking and commenting Susie

Now that has real potential. Loads of steps.

The top right bar I find distracting but RH genes plenty of details and decent angle.

Now, not that I'd have done it, but lower perspective would work in this. Photographing up the near cable thingy.

Obviously form a boat...is it yours:)

Cheers.

Thanks Buddy if I get chance will have a go at separating

Hello mate - Mine I wish :( but afraid not this boat was in the local marina I took a walk down there on Monday and wandered the pontoons looking for a victim :) Completely agree with the top bar but every thing I tried made it worse so left it in

Works well does this.. Nice different interpretation from a flight of steps.
Works well in b&w with the strong lines and variation in tones.
Bar at the top is a slight irritation but not as big s deal as you might think as there's enough detail and interest in the shot.
Can just see some clouds in the sky. Could a fiddle with a highlights slider make more of this?

nice image Craig ... says a lot about the clean, ordered world of those serious yachty types.

would far rather see it in colour tho.

Hi, plenty of interest in there though maybe slightly to cluttered agree with overbez about the sky could do with a little more detail

Linked - Nice sharp image and I like the shadow at the bottom. We've got quite a few of these carabiners but not for climbing. Believe it or not was use them to attach the lines for flying our kites!

Step - Boats are always difficult to take pictures of given the amount of stuff (there'll be a nautical term for it) on board. I think you've done a pretty good job given the rails and ropes.

Linked - nice shot, on theme. Would have liked to see more of the shadow rather than having it cut off.

Step - just a bit too much clutter and not enough focus on the real subject of the picture.

Hi, Craig hope you're on the mend.

Good detail and almost looks like s/he is looking at me. Looks a little flat, IYSWIM, at least on my iPad.

Cheers.

Good detailed shot Craig (y) Doing a lot of angling, I see a loads of herons. At first I did think the bg was a little distracting, but after thinking about it, to see one perched on a boat and not hidden in reeds is certainly more interesting and unusual for me (y)

Really nice shot of a lovely bird there - I also like the nautical setting for it, just enough information there to set the scene, but not so much it detracts frm the bird. Nice one.

Hi. nice pic of the heron, I do feel it lacks a little light but thats a minor quibble

I really like this.

After seeing Allan's comment above ... "lacks a little light" ... hmmm he may have a point.

HI Craig

Linked.....little bit different again which is good, vibrant colors ,good focus (y) won't mention the shadows :exit:

Nature...beautifully sharp juts needs a little more light to make it really pop:)
