Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 Canon Mount

Anyone shooting with this lens on their Canon? I'm considering getting one as a budget fast lens to shoot indoor sports (I shoot a lot of wrestling for my son's matches) and I can't afford the Canon equivalent just yet. I've read great things about it from Nikon users but don't know anyone shooting with one on a Canon and I'm picking up a 50D today.

Well, I just bought the 50mm, have been shooting with a 50mm on the Nikon. Works quite well but would like a little wider (at times) and a little more length (at times)...hmm, hope the wife doesn't ever think that about me.

I do hope to pick up an 85mm as well (for portraits). But things happen too fast to switch lenses all of the time. I'll be shooting with the 50mm until I can afford/decide which mid-range fast zoom to get.

Just sold mine on another forum. Nice lens, just didn't have enough wide end for me.

Ah, but it took good images? Sharp? Do you think it's worth the money if the focal lengths are good for the shooter?
