Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 Di - very impressed!

I had a Wanted Ad over in the Classified here for one of these, but I guess anyone who owns one knows how good this lens- now I do too!

Here is a 100% OOC crop from a quick portrait test shot, 66mm f/2.8 (wide open).

I bought this as its a Full Frame lens for my D700 - I already own the Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 AF-S but find Nikon lenses can be rather big and heavy for no good reason...

...so from what I am seeing - and provided the lens holds up on a Full Frame sensor - for £105 on delivered via Ebay, I may have got a cracking little lens

I used to own one and sure enough, was tack sharp. Having said that, I found that it didn't have the vibrancy of colours that my L series lenses have, hence why it was sold on a few months ago.

hi andy may be way of the mark here but your photo shows srgb i thought for best quality you should use rgb read it in a mag that (super rgb) is actualy the lesser workspace in edit go to colour settings and change to rgb if i dont no what im talking about just tell me to SHUT IT

sRGB is the same as RGB - ie the complete opposite of AdobeRGB (which I do not recommend)
