Hello there! I’m new to this forum, and I apologize if there’s already a thread on this topic. If there is, could you please share the link? I’d really appreciate it!

I’m a bit of a photography hobbyist. I’ve got a Sony A6400 camera, a Sony 70-350 G OSS lens , and a Sony E 50 1.8 OSS lens.

I was considering to get a wide angle lens and sell of my 50 1.8

I was on the hunt for a wide-angle lens and stumbled upon the Tamron 17-70 f2.8. While browsing through internet for a review about cotswold cameras I found this forum. They’re offering a pretty good deal on a new lens. I’m a bit hesitant about the purchase, so I’m reaching out to them to get their thoughts.

So, I found another option. The Sigma 18-35 1.8 Canon full-frame lens with the MC11 adapter. Both options (Sigma used) and the new Tamron one from Cotswold Cameras are pretty similar in price.

I’m a bit torn between the F1.8 and F2.8 settings. I love the portraits with the nice background blur, but I’m not sure which one would be better for my specific needs. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
