Tamron 17-50mm with Macro Tubes?

Does anybody know if the tamron is compatible with Kenko Tubes. Are there any picture samples around?

Yes, it does work fine (in Nikon fit at least)

I have one and am pretty impressed with the natural focusing distance, planning on getting some macro front lenses...are tubes a much better option?

close up filters are supposed to reduce image quality so yes, tubes are better, but of course you lose all electronics so it's manual time.

I have aset of kenko tubes and the autofocus works. Correct apperture is also displayed. Using it with EF 50 1.4

aye i like my kenko tubes and it retains all the electronics but i'd say depending on how much you're getting them for a decent 2nd hand macro lens might be a better investment
