None going in the for sale forums atm, and a couple going on Amazon/Ebay which I have just enquired about but just wondering if any of you have spotted one anywhere? I've checked Cameraworld and MBPPhotographic. Anywhere else I can look?

Looking for the non VC version, which goes for around £200. Built-in motor preferred but if I can't find one, will settle on the non motorised one.
 
I gave up and got a new one.

Cheapest were £265 at Hdew (import but from a physical UK shop) with 1 year warranty or £289 from WEX with a 5 year warranty and 2% Topcashback.

Typically there's now one appeared in the classified son here!

I noticed that - I'd been keeping an eye out for one s/h too and also gave up and got one new this week (from WEX).
 
Thanks. I was a bit patient and one got advertised on Amazon marketplace for £198 + p&p. The seller was very patient with my requests of a few photo samples and they appeared fine, so I just ordered it. It's even the newer one with the built-in motor.

THere is another on there for £1 more, which has been there for several weeks now, but the seller came across less "reliable" when I got in touch.
 
You can get a new one off ebay for £220-230
 
@ Mike410: I am also planning to buy Tamron 17-50 mm (non-VC) and can see lots of available on eBay at £220-230, but how reliable are these? Have you or anybody in your knowledge bought this lens from eBay? Also how about warranty?
 
Can anyone tell me how you can tell if the non vc version is the new version that has the built in motor?
