Hi Guys,

Have had a quick search using Google as am interested in getting either the Tamrac Velocity 9 bag or the Lowepro Slingshot 200.

I am fairly sure the Tamrac bag will suit my needs but none of the reviews seem to mention how water resistant these bags are.

Does anyone have any experience of using the bag who can advise.

Many Thanks

I have the fastpack200 same nearly as the slingshot and was caught in a torrential downpour a few months ago and everything inside the bag was perfectly dry

I think most bags are waterproof to a degree just dont drop them into a river

Thank you very much for the replies.

I hadnt considered the Fastpck DM so thx for mentioning it.

I can pick up the Tamrac for around £30 so thats probably my preference at this time. Hypnotic - how comfortable do you find the bag to carry over prolonged periods

It is fine if you do not try to pack too much heavy gear into it.

I filled it for a day out and found that it did get a bit heavy on my shoulder after a while. The single strap would be a bit better if it were better padded and wider.

Great stuff Hypnotic.
At this time I only have my Nikon D60 with 2 VR lenses (18-55 & 55-200) and the only thing I can afford to add will be a flash unit so sounds like it should be ok.
Thx to you & DM for your help
