I am interested in buying one of the Tamrac Expedition Backpacks, but as stockist are few and far apart, with your help I need to decide what size bag I should go for.

I travel with a lot of gear so I would like anyone that owns either the 7 or 9 bags to give me there opinions of their bags.

My normal kit would be: 2 bodies, 2 flash, small zoom, 70-200mm and 300mm f2,8. Plus the usual junk...

Also, I interested to find out if they will go as hand luggage?
 
I have the 7, it goes as hand luggage on BA, Air Italia etc.etc.

Plenty big enough for my needs. Currently it has..........takes a wee look........Gripped D700 and gripped D300,Sigma 120-300 2.8 (big lens),1.4 TC,Tamron 17-50,Nikon 50mm,SB 600, usual remotes/transmitters,plenty of batteries and memory card holders. The front bit has more crap in it that I cannot be bothered to list.....:D
 
I've just got hold of the 8x...bought used from MPB at a very good price because the previous owner had put his initials on the base in Tipex.

Not had a chance to use it yet but I am very impressed with it and it swallows all my gear with ease.
 
i have the 7x , it will hold what you have listed no problem, its also very comfy with the belly strap and chest strap to spread the weight and you can also carry your lappy too . yours GWH
