Tamrac Expedition 3

Does anyone here use a Tamrac Expedition 3 bag? Or any of the exped series? I'm currently using an adventure 6 and it's just not big enough, and the fold-in-half style opening is a pain in the arse, so I'm now looking at an expedition 3. I need a bag small enough to carry on a plane as hand luggage, but big enough to take the following:

• D40 (gripped)
• 18-55 Nikkor
• Prolinca IR trigger
• 2 or 3 spare EN-EL9 batteries
• L308-s meter
• Hoods for lenses
• eBay flash tigger/reciever
• Beefy Vivitar 285 flashgun
• Cokin P-series filters
• Business cards, notepad, pens, and assorted other little bits
• Nikon battery charger
• Small AA battery charger

Do we think the Exped 3 would be big enough? Or would I want a 5? I'm not bothered about fitting my laptop in with it.

If it helps, I have a Tamrac Expedition 5x that I will be moving along in the near future. Certainly big enough for all your stuff and still goes as hand luggage on flights.

I've got the 7x, but it holds so much I'd be worried about ending up like a turtle on it's back if I over-balanced

I had one on these bags and found it to be very small. I held my gear but my god it was a tight fit.

I have the 5 as well and it a great bag loads of room for all your kit.

Certainly big enough for all your stuff and still goes as hand luggage on flights.

That is a really big help, i did wonder if it would go on as i just bought one.

I love the 5, its big enough to have my Tamron 70-200f2.8 mounted on my 40d, plus with a bit of a squeeze will hold the rest of my kit, plus all my memory cards and batteries, both flash guns and everything. Its a great bag and so glad i bought it
