Yep! Please edit post in thread, and when resubmitting by email please prefix subject line (which includes username) with UPDATE

so heres a random question - my shot is a stitched panoramic - will it retain the exif , or shall i just put time taken in the email header ?

It should do :thumbs: I know mine was made up of two consecutive exposures merged into a single photo and it retained the exif of the latter of the two files :thumbs:
 
ooookaaay - well my low res entry is on the thread - i had to stitch it by hand in photoshop in the end

my next problem is that the hi res file is 24 MB - is that going to be okay emailed or will it kill the inbox ? (thats as a tiff - i'd guess jpeging it will make it a lot smaller , but will that be okay for print ? )

Well I sent in a jpeg, I don't know about your email, but I think mine only allows 20mb attachments anyway, I think cannot say I've checked, all of what I've ever sent out to print in photobooks and canvas have been sent as Jpeg so don't see it being an issue :thumbs:

Why didn't you use photostich in photoshop?

because I've only got PSE 5 on the laptop and it doesnt have that feature (the main machine has CS2 and LR plus serif panorama plus but its the one i'm having trouble with)

I'll convert my shot to a high res jpeg and mail it tonight

That makes sense :thumbs: I made an assumption bases that you said PS :lol:
 
alrighty that's my hi res sent - resaved as a jpeg it was only a tad over 2MB (shows how much compression makes a difference !)

It should retain the exif of one of the shots most prob the first one, what are you using to stitch them you may need to look in the options to tick to save the exif

Most software the algorithm for stitching is to extend the canvas so should retain the exif as it extends the first shot
 
I've not had a confirmation email yet either - but it definitely went somewhere
 
it could hasve been stopped by the work spam filter (i'd never see it if that were the case) - i'm not worried as i sent it to the right email address and it definitely sent
 
try sending from a different email - chances are that your email provider or ip is on a block list.

if that doesnt work i'll pm you my email and you can send it to me and i'll send it in for you.
 
Hey all! Am on hols - the internet here is fairly slow so will restart receiving system at the weekend when back. Dont panic if you havent had a confirmation email yet - they will come in on saturday/sunday :thumbs:

Hi all.

Email entries are now being received - and confirmations sent out. If you havent got one, leave it 20 minutes, and make sure you check your spam/junk folders just incase.
