My garage doesn't take debit or credit cards, it's cash or cheques only.
He doesn't want the internet or a computer, but recently has had it enabled as it was the only way he could reduce
his phone bill, not sure how that works but he doesn't have anything connected to, only time it does is if I or someone else goes
in there and uses it.
I was a surprised a while back when I asked if he would prefer cash or a cheque, to find that the banks now charge businesses to pay
cash in as well, so it made little difference
Exactly, the bank will probably charge more for dealing with the cash deposits that for processing a card payment.
Our business bank account doesn't charge us anything for the money transferred daily from our merchant account, but charge quite a lot for cash or cheques.
The retailers are making a small fortune by charging 50p to use your card on small purchases. Nice little earner under the disguise of costs.
