Can someone recommend me a good monitor for editting photos. I am looking for something that is 24 inches and won't blow the bank.

Ta.

Dell Ultrasharp U2414H IPS LED Full HD Monitor, that's the one I use Nick, can't complain for the money, good monitor.

I quite fancy one of these to repleace my aging 17" Dell flat screen.

A worthy replacement ?

I'd say so, I have the U2412M, fantastic piece of kit. Also, why replace? Just run both! (my second screen is funnily enough, an old dell 17"!)

That would be OK, but if you can, buy something of higher resolution that HD. The U2412M Miker recommended is 1980:1200, and the extra height makes far more difference than you would think. If you can afford it then look for a 27" monitor at 2700:1440.

Ok, so my onboard GRFX card will only run 1280x1074 and I want the Dell U2414H , so any recommendations for a cheap card that will make the most of the display ?

Nvidia 610 passive. Assuming you have a PCI-e slot available that is.... £25-£30 will do you fine :)

Can anyone give me the actual physical sizes of the Dell U2414H? Cant find them on the net.

After many hours of surfing the net, Ive decided to go for the U2412M and enjoy 16:10 vs 16:9.

It's a good monitor, I'm sure you'll be pleased :)
