Anyone ever wondered what the new members think of the standards of photography on these forums when joining up.:whistling:

I for one have seen such a large difference in the quality of shots posted by regular members its just amazing..:1st:

I think its fair to say the bar has been raised another level higher in the last few months and its very pleasing.:)

Keep up the good work guy's, I'm loving seeing these superb images..

totally agree tim keep up the good work folks ..
its only good when the standards are high . makes you try harder:clap:

I agree with everything Tim said there - we're getting some superb work posted here. keep it up peeps, and those that can helping the newcomers where they need it just keeps the bar climbing.

I agree with all that agree with the agreeing :D Some cracking stuff on here.

As a new member I can honestly say that the photos on here are fantastic. It makes me nervous about posting my feeble attempts amongst such quality.

we can post pictures?

im scared

I will be agreeing with the agreeers, well said Tim
Very high standard of images from all different styles, also the thing that first attracted me to this forum was the fact that even the people that are constantly posting up amazing images are still willing find the time to offer great advice & help to others (That's cheers to everyone for all of the help when I was starting out )

Pics are getting better :) If i'm honest i'm not sure the critique is going the same way, but then again i don't look at everything so might be wrong! Lets just remember to critique things if asked, and not say everything is amazing, as a lot of the time it's not :D

Oh and i think i've posted images about once this year, so nothing is down to me! haha

Aye, chatting to homies and going on forums has helped me Improved the quality of my pics.

It's not even been a year since I started photography when I only started with a mere camera phone to now using an SLR.:D

Forums and fellow photographers to chat to are godly for learning more.

Learned some people think advice Is having a go for some reason too though. :(

The standard was pretty awe inspiring when I joined a couple of months ago, it's gone up from there since. Also the quality is equally divided between the sexes, I love that.

Nothing wrong with the quality of pics on here.

But I find there's not enough Nikon users... :nikon:

:agree: There are some stunning shots being posted more frequently now, but as Matt says, when people are posting in the 'critique' section, comments like 'I like it' or 'good shot' or not what critique is all about. If people are asking for critique of their work, they have to have broad shoulders and be prepared for honest opinions - take the good with the bad ;)

I'm proud to be a member of these forums and start getting withdrawal symptoms if I don't get my daily fix  I've also met some fab people via here who's photography is simply awe inspiring. [S4]Talk Photography Rules!!!![/S4]

Only wish I had more time to play and post...:bang:

Having popped in and out only a few times recently I can say that the standard of the photos posted has definitely improved. I was hoping to get more active again, but am now worried that I won't be able to compete!
