Quite a disspointing week for me yet again.
I made Rooney my captiain and Berba scores the majority of em... Arse!
Hart gave me a clean sheet which was nice.

I'm above the average on score for this week, but only have one player left, Ward / Wolves against Arsenal this avo....So I'm not hopeful :p
 
When my subs are swapped I'll have 35 points with 4 players yet to play so potentially could do ok this week if I get some points today
 
I suppose I'm not doing *too* bad considering I didn't even start until week two :p

Won my cup game this week, 35-9, which is nice.
 
Praise the Lord, I never ever thought I would be praying for a Spurs win/Clean sheet

But the 3 spurs players just doubled my score :D
 
62 points after Spurs win today. I'm happy with that considering a few of my big hitters flopped.

Pretty poor show from my team, need to use the January wild card to overhaul my team.

I won my cup match by 2 points so far, but who knows when the bonus points are awarded whether I'll keep that win.
 
my cup game is poised with a 2 point swing in my favour but looking at the other persons team, it looks like they will not get any bonus points so I should be OK.

Going to be a tough game for me next week as Sunderland V Man City is crucial for my progress.

Looks like you were wrong. Your cup draw was tied but your opponent had more goals scored than you so you're out first round. I just managed to win mine by a few precious points.

I wasn't wrong Joe, as I wrote, I should be OK, which means I wasn't sure but then again you never read posts correctly.

You were wrong because you said that looking at theIr team it looks like they wouldn't get any bonus points. Ba was always going to get bonus points so I'm surprised you didn't see that coming.

But yes the league can have your full attention now

I ended up with 72 points for the matches just finished.

How does the the cup thing work then ?

I'm showing 72-71 against somebody called mannings murkers

worst week ever at 26 points but amazingly still won my cup game by 8 points!
 
As usual I fell out of the cup in the first week despite scoring a perfectly respectable 46pts! :|
 
couldnt get to the tinternet this morning to tweak my team, was wanting to put more spurs players in since they have a game extra this gameweek against everton (Which i'm going to actually).
 
Well just watched MoTD and John Terry never touched the ball in Chelsea's 1st goal against Wolves but he gets an assist on FF......no wonder he is the top defender.

Who ever is awarding the points should look more closely at the facts and not what some commentator thinks they see.

I wonder if I can appeal.
 
It said assist on the bbc match notes, don't put all the blame on ff. they get their data from elsewhere

I just watched MOD myself and it did come off terry, it may have only been a slight glance but there was definitely contact in my opinion so the "commentators" got it right
 
It didn't touch Terry, he misses it by a foot but the camera angle makes it look closer......why is there a saying that a camera never lies? Load of tosh!!!

disagree, I think it glances off his head.

all the camera angles shown on MOD aren't conclusive either way so it will be left up to interpretation. It certainly didn't miss his head by a foot.
 
There is still a chance that the assist will be taken away, this has happened to me with Aguaro and it didn't happen right until the bonuses where dished out at the end

i hope it doesn't get taken away as it means that it would go to mata and a colleague of mine in my other league has him and I'm trying to catch him up on points so every last point matters!!! :lol:
 
Joe I am not doing this just because you have JT (or have had) I am just saying that FF rules are sometimes a little like the refereeing decisions we tend to get...............very ambiguous.

edit.... Do you think we could ask JT for the truth with his track record? :lol:

Yes, I agree they are sometimes ambiguous. But it's a result of them having to track so much that goes on and offer the scores automatically.

The bonus system is the most stupid part of FF in my opinion because it goes on the EA player index which essentially gives more points to those that got the points in the first place for assists, clean sheets and goals. Which basically means that those that score points just score more, very rarely do you see a midfielder like Scott parker who plays a superb game and contributes massively to a win getting any bonus points because he rarely gets assists and goals.

p.s. is that the first time you ever used a smilie? :lol::lol:
 
I've just noticed that Spurs and Everton players all get double points for this game week as their fixure on the 11th Jan is also included.

yeah, its going to be a weird one as Im going to be sat in the everton end. My friend from overseas is a spurs fan and the home end was sold out but due to the reschedule a ton of the way tickets were returned.

Im not sure who to support being a liverpool fan it will be hard supporting everton, but i'll be in their end and would like to see spurs lose. Hmmm, may have to just go for the spectacle only
 
well, I think unless some miracle happens next wednesday and kyle walker scores a hat trick and gets a clean sheet, my cup dream is over. Currently sitting at 5 points below my opponent before the spurs game, substitutions and bonus points are allotted. Looking at my team I'm going to get 3 points for ba and 2 points for silva.

My opponent has 2 points in his/her subs and has silva as his captain so he'll/she's get double the bonus points. He/she also has van der vaart.

It doesn't look promising
 
Mine says Ba has now departed for the African Cup......You sure he's going to give you three points? ;)
 
If I have a player (Larsson) in my team and he does not play in my game week but I have an eligible player on the bench (etherington), does he automatically get substituted and then I have the points from etherington?...If so, when does this happen?

Yes you will get the subs points after all that weeks games are complete, and the subs will be used in the order that they sit on your bench from left to right so long as you fill the required minimum players for each position

Also looks like im going to lose my cup game despite scoring 60 points and having 5 players still to play (well 4 as jagielka is injured and only 3 if Osman is out too)

Yeah. He leaves for the competition this weekend so his points will still count for the game. They'll be given after the spurs everyone game on Wednesday. I'm assuming he'll get all 3 as he was man of the match.
 
in fact it looks like the bonus points have been added already and ba got the full 3 as i predicted. Thankfully silva didnt get any, so it only puts me 6 points behind when the subs are made.

if walker can get a clean sheet and van der vaart gets no extra points other than appearance, i might scrape through with an assist or bonus, but its still pretty unlikely
