This is more of a rainy day hobby, when it's too wet to do R/C and photography

I've got Technic 1200's mk2's (silver not the black 1210's), with ortofon dj styli and a Numark Dmx something digital scratch mixer and Sennheiser HD25 headphones.

I used to have the TT500's -they're a good set of decks. Learnt how to beatmatch on those and must say it was a digression when i got the 1200's.

I learnt to beat match using the the pitch sliders, so i rarely touch the vinyl, only when I'm cue-ing up a track!

I play mainly Drum and bass. Been a bedroom dj for 10 years or so. I've done one party where i played at my house but playing to a crowd just doesn't appeal to me. I'd sooner get my mixes down on cd.

Must admit though i'm thinking of selling my set- up as i probably only went on them a handful of times last year and not once this year. I go through phases of using and not using them.

I think only i bought one 12" record and one 12" EP last year....

ooooh very nice. Was never very good at mixing but I use virtual DJ now on the PC and I'm getting some decent results, it does pretty much do it all for you though !

very nice
I'm not buying vinyl as much now since I went over to the DV system, also I used to play out all the time practically most weekends, still got the big amps, speakers and lights for it, should I decide to start up again

the one thing I learned is don't sell your gear unless you're absolutely sure you won't need it or don't want it anymore
:)

Traktor is similar to PC DJ, however I still have the actual feel and control of vinyl with the storage capacity and interface of the computer, it's like having a 1TB vinyl on each deck

i used to have a pair of tt100's..

only recently sold all my vinyl :(

I was thinking about selling my crates of vinyl that I've built up over the years, but I know if I do, I'll miss it and regret it.
Sometimes I still like to mix old skool

:)
