Talacre Beach

Hi Guys,

Planning a trip to Talacre Beach to do some photography, wondering if anyone on here have been to this location and could give me some info/tips on the place. How is the parking? and how accessible is the beach?

Hi Rob,

Plenty of parking...watch the one on the beach though if the tides on its way in !!

The lighthouse is probably the main subject to photograph, although the sand dunes have some good possibilities too. Not sure if you are planning early morning/evening but if you're there in the daytime, if the sun is shining you'll not get a shot of the lighthouse without people in it

I've not visited for a good while but here's a possible shot...took this a year or two ago

The lighthouse is very accessible and full of character, and looks great as a silhouette at sunset.

Brilliant pictures, was hoping to go and do a sunrise weather and tide permitting.

Here's one that got published as part of an article in Digital Camera Magazine a couple of years ago...

If you don't want to park on the beach car park, you can use the one next to the pub... It's free anyway but gets filled up quickly during the normal scouse/brummie chav holidays!

It's a cracking location and the lighthouse was recently painted so you may want to get to it a bit sharpish before the holidaymakers decide to cover it in grafitti again!

The lighthouse has been painted now though and there is a sculpture of a man on top of it :thumbsdown:
