Hi there

a good friend of mine has designed us some bathroom tiles, and I want to take some pictures of them for their website. http://www.fireartstudios.com/

To start with the light isn't good so without flash the shutter speed is really low, then if I use on Camera flash I get a lot of glare.

Should I shove some uplighters in the bathroom?

Hopeing Gandi might have come across this in his line of work.

Thanks

Allan

Have you tried a bit of white card to bounce the on camera flash?

Hi RobertP - No not tried that - Do I attach it to the flash ?

I also have an external flash - I wonder if I point it off the ceiling what pics I might get.... now there's a thought

Bounce the flash off the ceiling. Even if the flash picks up colour casts off the ceiling, you should still be able to get the correct WB if you shoot RAW. :)

as Robert suggested, a bit of card between the flash and the lens, angled up to direct the light up works well, if you get it right it can really work well, i use postcards!
