Im just wondering if anyone could help with the settings for taking landscpaes.
Ive heard about hyperfocal focusing but not sure how to do it.
Im shooting with a Nikon D3000 i have a standard 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR lens and a 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G lens.

Cheers Dan

Best advice is to use a tripod,if nothing is moving in the picture ( trains, traffic, grass in the breeze) you can then use a aperture of around F/11 without needing to check the speed (in case a slow speed gives camera shake while hand holding.) focus on a object around a third into the shot, and take the pic, should be sharp if using the small lens,
With the longer lenses (youre 55-200) towards the 200 will not be as sharp as a smaller lens so check sharpness.
