Taking a label off?

Looming at getting a Nikon FE, from a vanity point of view i really dislike the gold sticker that many have. Are they easy to remove after all this time, best way to do it, and any risk of discolouration or marks as a result?

The golden sticker is only valid within Japan where it means
that the piece of equipment was produced and sold according
to national industrial regulations.

I always removed them and there is NO risk to find discoloura-
tion or marks as a result.

I quite like the old gold stickers but I guess it should be ok to take off, you might have some old glue residue that would need cleaning off

Yes but, even very old, it just rubs off!
