It's...strange. An eclectic mix would be a good way of putting it;)

There's some real crackers there, but one or two "what's that there for" pics as well...
 
Definitely...different? Some strange pictures. But still if you enjoy taking them then carry on :)
 
Kinda interesting the ones with the people who seemed to be floating under a dome-just a bit closer crop would have been nice.

Keep on trucking-oh no sorry wrong hobby lol-have fun.
 
I think the masks series needs to be weirder. It is neither "conventional" nor "out there" at the moment.

The 'Rock Gnome' in Nature needs taking from a rather different angle - much more at its level perhaps? with better lighting (or even less light) the same is true for the wind chime. The downwards perspective doesn't help at all.
The Fence would be better if the bottom was cropped off so that all you have in the picture are the laps apparently silver. Nice pic that one, right up my street apart from the cruft at the bottom.

In your portfolio group I like the kisses and the light writing, though to quote Terrence Stamp in Priscilla "No more F* Abba!" the others are a bit "what?"

I like the Sensual Henry Moore contrasted with the decidedly un sexy aeroplane - the concept is good and I can't work out what isn't quite right but something doesn't quite work there. Perhaps it is the angle again? if you could have lost Kew Gardens and been closer to the Moore perhaps?

So there you are. A few comments, many of which may have no merit :D

I like those. I would say that you have a good quirky eye. I like what you are doing with 'finding' images in unlooked for places. Some are more successful, some less so. But on the whole you are doing interesting and imaginative shots.

But of course, credit due in its own seperate way. If we all took photos of the same stuff all the time it would eventually become boring :lol:
 
Wierd.. Somehow I can't help but feel that to alot of you wierd isnt good. :S Oh well I like taking photographs that all that matters.
 
Nobody is criticising your photos by saying they are weird, they are different, they are your style, and you are happy with them, they were not taken to please others so do not be put off by some saying they are weird.
There are some good imaginative ones in there, just stick to what you like doing best.:thumbs:

Not me. IMHO Weird IS good... however weird has to be weird not just wannabe weird otherwise the intention of the shot is lost in the general "not quite thereness"... and it is therefore not weird but just a pic with no particular direction. This can be applied to any category of shot I guess - a landscape is a snap or a landscape, similarly a portrait. A macro pic is a snap or a picture... what the difference is I can't really quantify but there certainly is one.

Keep taking the pictures and don't let what others think depress you too much. I keep taking pics even though no-one likes them (except the people I pay to like them :D) and even though both my daughters are "better" at composition and picture taking than I.
