Saw my first tail strike today...
Watching a Swissair A320 land from the office window at lunchtime & it was obvious the guy got it wrong....
Looked like he held the flare too long, stalled, dropped 3ft, bounced, nose came up & tail hit the deck = Unhappy captain.....
lots of fly arounds (due to closed runway) & 6 + fire tender jumped on him - though were not needed & he carried on to T1 - followed by 3 of them..
The plane is still here - assuming its getting checked out..
Waiting for more news about it...

zero - wind sock was absolutely still,
The plane is currently parked oppersite my office - I'll take the camera in tomorrow to look for damage - Must be as they don't keep a plane out of service for nothing....
 
There will be damage...the skin at least will need patching up...they will have to do a full check on it however to see if there has been any structural damage...if any major structural damage it may mean the end of this aircraft life flying as she is getting on at 18.5 years old :(
