Edit My Images
Yes
I have just run a google on my kds names, and a few of the photos I have in Flikr came up, tagged, I didnt tag them.

Has it pulled the tags from Elements??

Thanks

Have a look at the Flickr pages for the images, scroll down and look at the Tags section on the right - it pulls keywords from EXIF/IPTC info and puts them there.

Flickr's terminology is a bit awkward as it calls keywords Tags but also has the "Add a person" functionality that is similar to what most social networks call tagging.

Thanks, Ive found the pictures and removed their names, but I just cant work out where it got them from in the first place.

If you added keywords in Elements then it'll have pulled them from the image file.

Thanks both.

I dont mind people seeing the pictures of the kids, I'd just rather not have them named in them.

I was going to put my daughter on flickr but decided against even though i havee some great shots of her

Couldn't you just make the pics of your kids viewable only by friends and family? That way you know exactly who can view them.

Why? ..... What's your concern over putting photos of your daughter on Flickr

That's what I do. As much as I would like to make them viewable by all, as it would save people having to register (I know it's easy, but people just cba), I just don't feel comfortable doing so.

Some people like to keep their family and private life, well.. private.

Others are voyeurs and get all upset when they think something is being hidden from them.

I have teens as well - there is no such thing as private anymore - if your kids have a social life - they are on the web some where, no matter how young - I just don't want their names attached.
