I was thinking about having a play with some product photography so I’ve ordered a light cube. I’ve looked at a few light sets to go with the cube and I came across these.
Has anyone any experience of using these types of lights with a light cube?

As you can see the smick ones are higher wattage and considerably cheaper, can anyone see any advantage that the more expensive ones have over the cheaper ones?
Are the 30w bulbs strong enough?

Thanks

Any light is strong enough, as you're probably going to be on a tripod anyway if you're not using flash.

I bought some stuff from Smick in the past, the 50 watt flourescents are the equivalent light output of a 250 watt incandescent, so they are pretty bright.

I've since switched from using my Smick gear for stills though, I only use them for video now. I just use my speedlights for products.
