My ageing Samsung tablet is going to require replacing soon. However it does have an Amoled screen, which is very good for watching videos (its primary use). Any suggestions please for a tablet with a good screen without breaking the bank - budget £300 ish

I don't game and don't need it for spreadsheets etc. Happy to consider Apple if the retina screen will fulfil the criteria

I don't think you can beat the iPad 10 for £329. It has retina display.
I use it for youtube and streaming movies from Netflix, Amazon and Disney when we are out in the van.

I tried an Android tablets once and soon returned to Apple. They last for years.

Mrs WW makes fun of me because I bought a cheap Teclast 10 inch tablet off Amazon which came to £90 odd including the case but I have to say it's worked just as well as the aging Samsung it replaced and it runs all the modern stuff that the Samsung either struggled with or wouldn't run at all.

I don't know what you'd think of the display, it seems to be good quality to me.
