Hi,

I am looking for a way of synchronizing my Adobe Lightroom on two different computers – a desktop and laptop. I use Apple Mac computers. Is there a way of doing this? Can you do it in Lightroom itself, or would File Synchronizing software such as Super Flexible Synchronizer do anything to help?
Many thanks,

Nigel

When using LR on my laptop, all the desktop folders I use in LR show up here too. I even get all the thumbnails if my desktop is off!. Using Vista on both.

Although Lightroom does say not to use it on a network I have had some good results with keeping my photos and catalog on a NAS drive which is plugged into my wireless router.

Allows me to keep everything off my laptop but to access it any time - should be possible to add a second laptop or PC and access from there too as long as you don't try to do it from both or it'll have database conflict errors.

Just keep the catalogues identical (i.e. when you make changes on one computer, update the cataloge on the other one and they will mirror each other).

I just update my MacBook Air LR library every so often so it's the same as my iMac's.

Not sure how you could do it automatically, probably some sync software out there somewhere.

Allway Sync will do it... does everything I need it to do anyway. Simple to use and totally reliable.

You could keep your images on an external hard drive, along with the Lightroom catalogue. That way either computer would look at the latest catalogue and images.
