Sync IPad content to Windows Server

Thought i would post this on here on the chance someone has a better solution.

I have a HP Microserver on my home Lan for storing documents and running Hyper-v for IT training needs.

I am trying find a way to synchronize content from my ipad 2 to my windows server without the need to plug into itunes using the wire.

The only option i have come up with is to setup Icloud synchronization on the ipad 2 and then install itunes on the server to automatically synchronize between a folder. The only limitation to this plan is icloud is limited with 5GB of storage.

Anyone else got any solutions?

you cannot backwards sync an iDevice to a computer for DRM reasons.

there apps available like copypod but they make a bit of a hash of it.

What sort of content?

Music I do via iTunes match, films I sync when plugged in (unless purchased through iTunes). Photos, Pages, Numbers etc. syncs via iCloud

Bookmarks - I use chrome and Chrome syncs these.

Other stuff I access via email, it depends on what you are syncing, are you updating it etc.
