Was wondering if anyone has used and could recommend a remote sync cord to connect a cheapo YongNuo speedlight (YN465) to a Lumix G series camera (GF1/GX1)? Hotshoe to hotshoe curly cable thingamabob would be perfect. Have noticed there are plenty of TTL extenders available for Nikon/Canon. Unfortunately, my Nikon compatible YongNuo's don't play nicely with Panasonic.

Not looking for TTL - manual will be just fine.

The pin out for Olympus and Panasonic is the same as Canon so a canon cord shoud give you TTL too. Mine does.

Hope that helps.

This, although as you know you'd need an olympus/panasonic ttl compatible flash to use it in any kind of ttl mode.

Found a cheap wireless transmitter/receiver which looks as if it'll work (CowboyStudio NPT-04). Not a huge amount more than a wired sync cord. Having read that the pinout is the same as Canon, was tempted to buy a Canon specific YongNuo RF-603 - however, read reports that they won't work without modification.

I use a Yong Nuo RF602 radio trigger with my G3 and Canon flashes. I don't get TTL obviously but since I rarely ever use it anyway (even on my Canon body), it's not been an issue for me. :)

Goes to show you can't always believe everything you read. Might invest in a Canon specific setup if this doesn't work. It'll hardly break the bank.

CowboyStudio NPT-04 turned up today. Works a dream with Lumix GF/GX1 and YongNuo speedlights with Nikon hotshoe. Not as well built as the RF-603's but for £18 and next day delivery, difficult to fault. Huzzah!
