I've been pretty ill since before Christmas still able to go to work but just not quite right. I didn't want to go to the Dr. but the s*&^ hit the fan this week and I finally went to the GP on Wednesday. Well I've gone and done it and I have pneumonia. They were going to put me in the hospital but I promised the doc my hubby would take care of me. So now I'm bed ridden for at least 7 days and I feel awful! I have to be out of bed to write this and if my hubby finds me I'll be murdered so I won't be in that much for the next little while. But you guys always make me feel better so I thought I'd share.

Renee, you'd better get well quickly & get back soon, or you'll be spending another 7 days here trying to catch up on what you missed :lol:

You must take the doctor's advice. Stay in bed until you have recovered - then stay indoors for another few days just to be sure - or as they say where I come from (but only in bad American movies) to be sure, to be sure.
 
:hug: Poor you Renee - wishing you a speedy recovery and hoping that you feel better soon. Make sure you do rest as pneumonia isn't something to be taken lightly. The recovery is quite long, so do as you're told :rules:
 
Get well soon and as others say, Pneumonia is not something to be messed with or taken lightly.
 
Can only echo what the others have said, listen to your doctor and take it easy. Hope you feel better soon.

And seriously, listen to the doc. Someone I know got pneumonia last year. He didn't listen to the doc and went back to work too soon - he had a total of 4 months off in the end mainly because he didn't listen.
 
Same here.... was up and about too soon... got pleuresy!! :eek:

Get hubby to buy you a laptop and you can keep in touch with all of us from your bed! ;) :thumbs:

eek! Thats not nice :( As everyone else said, I guess the doc knows best! Awfull daytime tv for you for a week or so then! thats should be enough for you body to recover quicker :p

Thanks guys! And glo it was my hubby looking through not me. I'm up for a bit as my skin hurts from laying down so much. Thank god for sky plus and having tons of shows recorded or I'd be pulling my hair out. It is really hard doing nothing even though we always complain we have too much to do. I must say this sucks and I feel like I'm 80. Well I'll surf a bit and then lay back down. Thanks again guys!

Sorry to hear about this Renee ... you just make sure that hubbie of yours looks after you damn well and before you know it you'll be up and about and posting as normal ... :D

But don't rush it ... get properly better as that 'p' thing has a nasty habit of coming back and biting you on the bum with something real bad ... be careful and take care ... ;)

Hmmmm we keep telling parents at work that pnuemonia in children is just a posh name for chest infections that are in one specific area. maybe the doctors i work with are wrong or maybe its worse for adults.

Anyway get well soon. and rest, make the most of been pampered.
